The war on the Black and African family has been ongoing since slavery. Breeding farms, rape, forced marriages, and now presently surrogacy. To the point of preservation of race and identity, the concept of White Supremacy is to define family based on universal power and control. Just for clarity I define “family” here as a concept of control or ideology to help publicize an intention.
Today the influence of what “family” is and its characteristics based off definition globally is cultural domination. In a YouTube video clip about Why the Baby Business is Booming, The Economist explains how the boom for family is becoming a popular because of declining heterosexual fertility rates.
Before the recent Russian invasion in Ukraine, Ukraine was a surrogacy epicenter for rich countries. This raises questions on what is really going. Due to the current crisis, the surrogacy industry in Ukraine is currently at a stand-still, which will cause companies to move their jurisdiction elsewhere, such as Eastern Europe and Africa.
In the United States, due to socioeconomic and race related stress, preterm birthrates among Black women are 52% higher among all other women according to March of Dimes 2022 Report. But across the Atlantic, the World Population Prospects reported Africa’s fertility rates rising tremendously, higher than the global average compared to other continents with 2.3 births per woman.
But the problem with Africa is it has become a breeding ground for Chinese conquest. Even though China has come a long way from their one child policy to now three child policy, still one child per household is held customary. With these restraints it’s causing Chinese men to interracially marry African women while at the same time maintaining their economic presents to progress Africa’s economy.
The motivation for this global race is to create a concept of family. But just like any race there’s room for flexibility for “legal” sex-trafficking in for the long run. Although in Africa, women are being trafficked legally for surrogate arrangement, there is no doubt that the same is happening among the Africa Diaspora to further the concept of family.
As Black and African people we have to take accountability in protecting and holding family to a higher standard in order to preserve the African Diaspora.
