Untold tales, lives lived.
We thought
We wouldn’t survive
Survival eluded us
Somehow, we sought it
Then, it showed up but
Never taught us how we would survive
Yet somehow, we did
And here we are
Not quite able to tell the tale
Yet we live amongst you
Sometimes, we are present
Sometimes, we’re absent
It doesn’t matter,
We are here,
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying each moment as it comes.

Prudence, I resonate deeply with your poem and feel it is very much required in our community. Thank you for sharing.
